Teletherapy helped us get through the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Even so, compared to being in person, conducting psychotherapy on a screen is the second-best option. Therapy is much more effective when you and I can relate to each other unimpeded by image freezes, distorted audio, feedback, and other connection problems.
I’m fully vaccinated. If you are, too, let’s get back in the same room.
Playing it Safe
Even though the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has determined it is safe for vaccinated people to be together indoors, my concern for you extends to your physical health. That’s why I’ll continue to play it safe for a while by taking the following precautions.
Masks
Please wear a mask while in the waiting room and until you have taken a seat in the inner office. At session’s end, please put your mask back on before standing and leaving.
I have masks available for those who forget their masks. They are located just to the right as you enter the waiting room. Please take one and put it on as soon as you enter.
Air Purification
The office is equipped with a HEPA 4-stage air purifier. It will run throughout the practice day.
Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is available to you in both the waiting room and in the office.
Surfaces
Epidemiologists have concluded that surfaces pose virtually no risk for contracting Covid-19. Just the same, you may expect DTL’s doorknobs and other high-touch areas to have been sanitized at the start of, and at least once during, the practice day.
If you’re new to DTL, I invite you to schedule your first session (in-person or teletherapy). Or, request a 10-minute phone consultation if you’d like to get a sense of how we might work together.
